I don't have good lenses or anything, to do justice to this magnificent bird. But I want to share it anyway. I have found a pair of Black-shouldered Kites out in the bush and I have been stalking them all weekend. I think this is as close as I will ever get to them and I considered it a wonderful privilege to watch them. Black-shouldered Kites are only very small, but beautiful raptors. An Australian Raven (commonely called a Crow!) was fighting them and the Raven is much larger than this Kite (to give you an idea of size).
